In 1950, the economic boom gave Castellani the perfect opportunity to expand his business, together with his partner, Buscaglia. By 1975, the company had already established franchises, new locations in New York and Vermont, and a wide network of partners that allowed them to offer premium products at discount prices.

In 2020, Price Chopper Supermarkets/Market 32 and Tops Friendly Markets announced that both companies were merging to form a new conglomerate to further expand their business beyond their current venues, with improved eCommerce channels and a bigger product catalog.
